The main harvest season of dried red pepper is from January to April, accompanied by high-grade pest control and post harvest cold storage and integrated warehousing-processing, to make dried red pepper available for export throughout the year. Exports of Indian chili have shown healthy growth over the last 10 years in terms of both volume and quality. Red peppers especially are grown across 792,00 hectares of land in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra with 1,376,000 tons of production.

The most popular varieties in the market are Sannam, Teja, Byadgie, 273, Wonder Hot, 334, Mundu, and Tomato chilies. Out of these Teja class and Sannam are the most popular for exports, great for cooking due to their deep, intense flavors. Our dried red pepper is exceptionally dark red in color due to the rich source of capsaicin. It is said that it is this capsaicin that gives red peppers its intensity and heat.
