튀르키예 - Tomato Paste

Turkey is among the top 10 producer countries in the world for tomato paste. Turkey has the advantage of fertile soil where any type of tomatoes are grown easily.

Marmara and Aegean Regions are the regions where contracted farming for industry is common. In industrial tomatoes, 80% of the companies make contracted production with farmers to secure prices and to avoid open market prices increase.

Many Turkish producers have more than one production plants for tomato paste. They can reach up to 450,000/tons tomato processing capacity in the season.

In Turkey, approximately 25% to 30% of the tomato production are processed in the food industry and the remaining amount is consumed as fresh. 80% of the total amount of processed tomato is used for paste, 15% for canned tomatoes, the remaining amount is used in the manufacture of tomato products (ketchup, tomato juice, etc.)

Our tomato paste is producted from field tomatoes picked up freshly in the season. They avoid undesirable usage of pesticides and use of special seeds for plantation.
