Sesame seeds are tiny, oil rich seeds that grow in pods on the Sesamum indicum plant They are found in most of the tropical, subtropical, and southern temperate areas of the world. Sesame seeds are an excellent source of copper, manganese, calcium, iron, and other nutrients and the most traded variety of sesame is creamy or pearly white.
