Vegetable oil of castor

It is possible to export castor oil from Madagascar. Aromeya is a castor oil wholesaler, supplying customers worldwide. Botanically known as Ricinus communis, castor was once called palma-Christi—meaning “the palm of Christ”—in reference to the shape of its leaves, which resemble a hand. Traditionally, this plant with cosmetic virtues was linked to witchcraft; it was believed that applying castor oil to the scalp while reciting incantations could restore hair growth. In Madagascar, castor—locally known as tanatanamanga—grows mainly in the southern region of the island. Its seeds are cold-pressed to produce castor vegetable oil, valued for its many hair and skin benefits.
