Belco for agriculture

- Established in 1960, started the business by exporting table grapes to Germany.
- Acquired the first piece of land in 1999 in the desert area of Sadat City, with an area of more than 80 ha.
- Production area has now reached over 1,200 ha with a wide range of fruits and vegetables being grown including table grapes, strawberries, peaches, mangoes, melons, green beans, spring onions, snow peas, capsicums, chilies, and chinese cabbage.
- Developed the first packhouse in 1994, now operates 3 fresh produce packhouses covering an area of around 600 m² with pre-cooling and cold storage facilities that could handle 12 MT of fresh fruits and vegetables daily.
- Supplies around 10 KMT of premium quality fruits and vegetables to some of the largest retailers in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
