In the early 1900s, BOUSSIER J NV began as a conventional buyer and seller of strawberries and cherries in and around Borgloon. Frederic BOUSSIER sold the goods at markets by purchasing them from nearby farmers.

Borgloon is in the center of Haspengouw's main fruit region, which has extremely loamy soil that makes it easy to grow juicy, sweet fruit.

The business (Haspengouw and Hageland) has grown into a reputable Belgian fresh fruit trading company after more than a century.

This export company's third and fourth generations—Jacques BOUSSIER and Raf and Annick BOUSSIER—have emerged as its driving force.
