In 1946, Clarence Henry Durant moved with their family from Provo, Utah, to Meridian, Idaho. Bringing the name "Big D Brand. In 1953, Clarence Henry Durant, built their first poultry house and by 1954 Durant decided to go into a large egg production business and purchased 800 chicks.
In 1957 Clarence Henry Durant died. At the time, the production had a capacity of 15 chickens, raised 100 chickens, and sold eggs throughout the Boise Valley under the brand "Big D."
