The winery is a part of the Campo de Borja PDO, the premier Grenache region, and was founded in 1945 under the name Cooperative Agricultural Union of Campo Santo Cristo (later renamed to Bodegas Santo Cristo, then Raising and Vineyards Santo Cristo s. Coop). The perfect environment for cultivating Grenache for high-quality wines may be found here, in the center of Aragon and at the foot of Moncayo. They took a giant step ahead in their international expansion when they joined the CSC Group in 2015 along with numerous wineries of other denominations. This allowed them to start a process of modernization and a strategy of innovation at a productive and commercial level.
A cooperative of vintners dedicated to their community and area is known as Bodegas Ainzón. Together, they protect distinctive landscapes and historic vineyards while generating income. New wines like Flor de Aón, a Verdejo- and organic wine, have emerged as a result of this evolution, and they are a nice compliment to other prominent and well-known wines like Terrazas del Moncayo and Flor de Cayus. They changed their name to Bodegas Ainzón in 2019 to show their dedication to the neighborhood and their local roots.
