With the goal of putting wholesome food on Brazilians' tables, this initiative began in the 1970s in Campinas, São Paulo. Modern plants automatically choose the things for you. They introduced the premium brand of beans, Broto Legal, in 1992. Only the cleanest, most regular beans are chosen, protecting plant nutrients.

Multiple quality prizes and, most importantly, the patronage of their customers went to Broto Legal beans. They updated their rice and bean production lines in 2021, packing all the high-quality grains that every Brazilian family brings home with them. Serrazul's new brand and packaging are considerably more contemporary and follow the same tradition as before 1979.
