Byington Vineyard & Winery was established in 1987 in Santa Cruz Mountains with 95 mountainous acres surrounded by redwood forests with a view of Monterey Bay. Focusing on sustainable farming and biodynamic growing methods, the winery produces Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and other wine varieties. The winery was a San Francisco Chronicle 2017 Double Gold Award Winner.
The small production wines come from their Estate vineyards: 8 acres of premium Byington Estate Pinot Noir in the Santa Cruz Mountains and 36 acres of ultra-premium Tin Cross Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot from Alexander Valley. The winery also acquires additional varietals from some vineyards for a wide array of wines. Byington also supports charities and non-profit auctions.
