On 210 acres in Esparto, California, there is a family-run almond grower, sheller, and processor called Capay Canyon Ranch. Since 1972, they have been producing almonds, and this September will mark the 43rd harvest of those almonds. They developed a handling facility and a company-owned brand in 1978. Since then, they have increased their handling skills and are now able to provide customers with products of unmatched quality and prompt service by utilizing a supply of outstanding almonds that have been gathered by a committed group of growers.
They now process almonds all year long and provide a variety of customers with both natural kernel and in-shell goods. They are able to provide California almonds of the best quality to a global market because to their agricultural knowledge, processing know-how, and extensive marketing network. More than 80% of the almonds consumed worldwide come from California. In the state's central region, 6,000 growers tend more than 750,000 acres (303,500 hectares) of almond orchards with the goal of giving consumers around the world a consistent, high-quality product. One of the oldest and most prestigious handlers in this business is Capay Canyon Ranch.
