Ceres Fruit Processors Limited

The Ceres Valley has good soils and a typical Mediterranean climate, making it ideal for growing vegetables and deciduous fruit. In fact, the town and valley were given the name of the Roman goddess of fruitfulness as a result of this abundance.

Locally known as the Koue Bokkeveld and Warm Bokkeveld, a rich agricultural business has sprung up in the valley. It now provides 30% of the apples and 50% of the pears grown in South Africa.

The town of Ceres, which is roughly 170 kilometers northeast of Cape Town, has a well-established infrastructure for the packing and processing of these products. Fresh fruit, fruit juices, and fruit concentrates are exported and shipped locally from this location.
