Full bodied red. 17 year old wine and it holds up great. Rich and long lasting aroma of oak, prunes, and dried figs. Muted fruit on the pallet- dried figs, prunes and dates. A long woody and leathery finish. Great match for blue cheese to finish a meal.

The Clos Plince Pomerol by Gombaude Guillot from the French wine region Pomerol in Bordeaux is a full-bodied, elegant and expressive red wine cuvée vinified from the Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grape varieties.

In the glass, this wine shines in a rich ruby red with purple highlights. The nose enjoys a filigree bouquet that reveals aromas of blackcurrants, spicy notes of juniper and an undertone of tea. Initially, the bouquet is still reserved, evolving more and more expressively over time. On the palate, this French red wine is very well structured, with a slim, fine body. The acidity perfectly integrated into the silky texture and accompanies in the pleasantly long finale.

Cadet de Gombaude is the second wine of Gombaude-Guillot. It essentially brings together the product of young vines, but it is made on the same terroirs, using the same methods and with the same care.
