Summary

Saint-Emilion plateau, Puisseguin associates the word “Puy” which means “Mount” with that of “Seguin”, Charlemagne's lieutenant who settled there around the year 800. The territory of Puisseguin Saint-Emilion extends to the north-east of Saint-Emilion. Its vineyard benefits from a good exposure, it is implanted on a limestone rock which allows a good water supply of the vine, even during the dry periods. Half of the property's soil consists of clay-limestone soil and the other half of clay-siliceous soil. The clay-limestone soil gives full-bodied and tannic wines, the clay-siliceous soil of supple wines is fruity. The blend of the two has made the reputation of Château Moulin des Laurets.
-730 hectares of vines, Puisseguin Saint-Emilion produces an average of 34,000 hectoliters, or less than 1% of the production of red AOC Bordeaux wines. The majority at Château, Merlot brings color, aromatic richness, suppleness and roundness to our wines.
-Varieties: Merlot , Cabernet-Franc, Cabernet-Sauvignon, and more rarely Malbec.
