Some of Ireland's fish markets are run by Daly's Seafoods. Michael Daly, whose love of fishing began at a young age, launched the stores. When he bought his own boat in 1978 with the intention of fishing for herring, white fish, and salmon, his passion for fishing officially began.
Michael and his wife Kathleen began selling fish out of two mobile units in 1983. The first unit was in Abbeyfeale, Limerick, and the second unit was in Castleisland, Kerry. "We opened our first shop in Abbeyfeale in 1990," Michael remarked. On the South West Coast of Kerry, we constructed a cutting-edge processing facility and smokery in 1997. Additionally, created fresh goods like cold-smoked salmon, smoked trout, gravlax, smoked mackerel, and hot smoked salmon using our own recipes”.
