ASOFRUBRUNCA is an association that was established in 2005 in the neighborhood of Pueblo Nuevo de Cajón de Pérez Zeledón with about 25 producers, the majority of whom were initially focused on coffee production.

They currently have 115 partners who are incorporated and trained in the fields of high-quality rambutan production and processing for the domestic and international markets. 2015 is expected to be able to produce 550 tons of rambutan.
