Our History

1993 "Delicatessen 2" Ltd. is founded by Ivan Antonov and Velichko Yakov.

1994 We started the construction of our enterprise in the village of Zhitnitsa, Plovdiv region.

1995 The beginning of our production – we started with only a few products and with a capacity of 500 – 600 kg. Daily. 2001 Expanded the sausage workshop.

In 2006, the slaughterhouse was converted and expanded into a cutting plant.

2008 It became possible to export to the EU.

2009 Opened a second workshop, capable of producing over 44 tons of sausages per day.

In 2010, we expanded our dry meat delicatessen dryer and searched for a suitable name for a product that has been loved for 20 years. Then our new brand "Delicatessen Zitnica" was born.

2011 Replaced part of the in-package cold storage with the new Flopak package. The tailoring has also been enhanced.

In 2012 he purchased his second machine for product wrapping and wrapping.

The first national television campaign was launched in June 2013. 2014 Started building the third workshop dedicated to product packaging using the latest technological methods.

On October 13, 2015, we celebrated his 20th anniversary to date with all our partners and officially opened his third factory.

2016 Completely renovated own shop in Zhitnitsa village to meet the needs of a modern and different Bulgarian art shop.

In 2018, we proudly launched a new slogan and a shared message that everyone should know and remember: “Sausage from Zitnica village”.

In 2019, we held the first beans market with sausages in Zitnica village. This was a long-awaited holiday, celebrating the sisterhood of the villages of Zitnitsa and Smilyan.

2020 Acquired international IFS certification. This is a precise and clear response to consumer expectations for the high level of safety of our products.

2020 Celebrates 25 years since the sausage of Zitnitsa village in the picturesque Plovdiv village was made not by anyone's hand, but by the village people who are the best aficionados.
