Since 1895, a farming family has focused mostly on cherry cultivation.
Jaume Montmany Cartró began this family's cultivation after the phylloxera infestation that began in 1885 caused all of the family's vines (the only cultivation) to die.
The cultivation of cherry trees has continued uninterrupted for generations up to the present. On their farm, finding the best fruit has always been the major goal of cherry production. They have learned throughout the years that a farm's output quality is a good indicator of how well it performs.
In order to maintain the fruit's high quality and, in addition, to make a positive impact on the privileged environment that surrounds them, they have recently implemented agro-environmental management techniques.
In order to validate the production, this concern for the environment has been translated into registration with the Catalan Council for Organic Agricultural Production.
