Empacadora del Pacifico "EDPACIF SA" was established to help the socioeconomic development of the Coque and Pedernales sector while meeting a new client's requirements. "La Empacadora began operations in 2001, and in March of that year, the company exported its first product. In 2002, EDPACIF SA" received the HACCP certification, which ensures control of critical shrimp processing points and includes package traceability in all production and marketing processes. There are currently two additional certifications for it: BRC Version 6.0 and Good Manufacturing Practices.
The shrimp handled by EDPACIF SA comes from the plant's shrimp ranches and from makers in the northern area of Manabí, who utilize normal strategies and hydroponics methods in shrimp creation, the reliable unrefined substance of ideal quality, without leaving to the side the maintainability of the fishing assets that the region has.
