El Gebaly Fruit Company was formed in 1996, a Citrus Packing House equipped with advanced Sorting Machines and a daily capacity of 900 MT of Finished Citrus Product ready for Export. Also becoming ISO 9001, EUROGAP and Global G.A.P certified Exporter along with the use of advanced techniques in sorting citrus to the highest standards of demanding markets.

In 2003 the Founders Strategy focused on changing the way of Crops procurement, from “un-secured and lack of required standards” direct supply, to renting farms under full self-management to be able to comply with the citrus certification scheme that would test and license planting material in line with international standards.

Now El Gebaly Fruit Company has been the top Exporter of Egyptian Citrus for the last consecutive five years with a 10% Export Market Share reaching more than 100,000 MT in last season 2010/2011, according to the last report of the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry body, the General Organization for Export/Import Control (GOEIC).
