Equator Coffees & Teas

This realization inspired founders Brooke and Helen in 1995 to start roasting and selling coffee from their garage in Marin County. Coffee can be sourced in ways that are better roasted, better brewed, and most importantly, better lived. It was the beginning of an influential coffee company with a strong focus on responsibility.

Twenty years later, nine cafes and thousands of cups served, our influence has grown, but our values ​​remain the same.

The Equator was named after the region where coffee grows, but it now means much more. It is the road that circumnavigates the globe that connects us all. In our journey from bean to bite, we strive to make everything we touch better. From humans to earth. We believe that coffee is more than just delicious. It also has the power to do good.
