Company Story
Arch created the national business Etampo SA in 1989. President Enrique M. Davidsohn is now leading it. It is an agricultural and livestock enterprise with a focus on the berry industry, particularly blueberries, which account for about 80% of its revenue.
It is a blueberry that is spherical and ranges in size from 1 to 2 cm (from intense to soft). A distinctive waxiness covers its epidermis. This is crucial because combined with consistency, it significantly increases its post-harvest endurance compared to that of other berries (raspberry, strawberry, boysenberry).
The duration of development, or the interval between blossoming and maturation, varies. Since plants with short development periods are better able to avoid late frosts that are typically seen, there are varietal differences that turn out to be quite significant.
