Gamkaskloof, often known as "Die Hel," is a secret valley tucked away in the imposing Swartberg Mountain Range. The rich valley is about 20 km long and 600 m wide, running in an east-west direction.

Pieter (Annetjie's son) and his wife Marinette run a kiosk and restaurant at Fonteinplaas where you can buy anything from firewood, witblits, cold beer, and cool drinks to a range of Gamkaskloof trinkets and organically grown fruit, both fresh (when in season) and preserves. And the newest specialty, jam made from aloe vera!
