Gouda Cheese Shop was founded in 1986 by award-winning cheese makers Ben and Fieke Meyer. It is located in Hillcrest roundabout, on SH1. In 2006, its Rototuna – Hamilton was opened. It specializes in producing the best quality cheese across New Zealand.

It imports cheese from The Netherlands, Italy, France, Denmark, Switzerland & England. It also supplies cakes, biscuits, licorice, confectionery, coffee and coffee pads (Senseo), soups, spices, and meal mixes.
