Everything began in 1952 when German electrical engineer Martin Gubitz, who passed away in 1960, paid 5000 pounds to purchase the farm. On this small section of the farm Delhi in Letsitele, Limpopo Province, farming began. His son Horst Gubitz planted the first Marsh Grapefruit and Valencia Orange trees. Until recently, the Great Letaba River served as the primary source of water for cultivation.
The Gubitz family operates a "family-run-farming-business" entirely on their own.
Citrus, mangos, avocados, and macadamia nuts are now being grown. The Gubitz family is committed to advancement for all South Africans by farming in accordance with GlobalGAP international accreditation requirements and maintaining excellent relations with our 400+ permanent employees and an additional 400 seasonal workers.
