UMAR is a family-run business in the San Lorenzo Valley of the Piura department in the north of Peru. Mango production (sowing, cultivation, and harvest), packaging, and export are our sole focus. This final activity (export) began in 2009 with air travel to France and Germany. We gradually increased the range of countries where we produced, including the United States, Canada, Spain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, South Korea, and Japan.
Currently, 500 hectares of the own farms' output are spread throughout the valley. Of this number, 75% are used to produce the Kent type of mangoes, with the remaining 25% being plants that are still growing and other varieties like Haden, Keitt, and Edward
