The company was founded by entrepreneur Tracy Hayward. Her love of cooking, combined with her desire to start her own business, motivated Tracy to enter her food industry. It was a recipe for success. Based on her culinary background, she has created a variety of high quality purees for professional chefs and food enthusiasts.

Like many start-ups, Hayward's company was self-funded. Tracy sold her home as seed capital and founded The Perfect Puree from her family home in Southern California. To immerse herself in her industry, she researched dealer networks, suppliers, product development and processing methods. She has visited processors and distribution facilities, attended dozens of trade fairs, and researched equipment and packaging.

Since its launch in 1988, The Perfect Puree flavors have grown from her 8 to her 30+. Food and beverage professionals across the continent rely on Perfect Puree for its high quality and consistency.
