and Eastern Nepal. White tea comes from the buds and
leaves of the Chinese Camellia sinensis plant. The
leaves and buds are allowed to wither in natural
sunlight before they are lightly processed to prevent
oxidation or further tea processing

Fannings In the world of tea, there are grading systems. The British
developed a system based on the visual inspection of the final tea
product. Basically, the highestgrade teas contain whole leaves that may
include leaf buds and young leaves. From there, broken leaves are
sorted, and what is left are the dust and specks we know as fannings.
