Russell Hall Seafood opened its first store on Hoopers Island on Maryland's east coast in 1939. This island location in the Chesapeake Bay provided the perfect setting to purchase, process and ship the freshest Maryland seafood known to the world. Over the years, the company have developed a reputation for quality products and competitive prices. When Mr. Hall died, the company was passed on to his wife, daughter and his son-in-law. The store was closed for a short time when Mr. Hall wife's retired.
In 1992, local sailors with 30 years of experience in harvesting, selling and shipping seafood reopened the business. The sailors vowed to keep the company's name and maintain its reputation for fresh, high-quality seafood at competitive prices.
