It was during one of his trips that André Chatonnet, a passionate winegrower, fell in love with the architecture of the great Italian wine estates. It was then that he decided to undertake a project that was both original and innovative: to rebuild his own wine estate in the heart of the Bordeaux region, which he and his wife Jeanine had acquired in 1967, in the image of the most beautiful in Tuscany. The gamble paid off in the 1990s, when he revived the now splendid Château Haut-Chaigneau, which stands between the Lalande-de-Pomerol and Saint-Emilion appellations in the commune of Néac (33500).
The Vignobles Chatonnet is the story of a family passionate about wine and attached to its terroir. Today, thanks to the continuity ensured by their son Pascal, they are recognized in France and internationally for the quality of their wine and the use of both traditional and innovative techniques that are always respectful of the environment. Welcome to the Chatonnet universe...
