- The Schmid Oberrautner wine farm has been run by their family for over 21 generations. Every generation has developed their family farm and its products a little further. Today it is up to us to continue it. - For South Tyrol and wine lovers, for discerning travelers who enjoy independence on vacation, as theyll as a good glass of wine. - On the 9 hectares, mostly family-owned vineyards, they produce around 95,000 bottles of wine every year. Here they mainly grow Lagrein and St. Magdalener. They also cultivate Pinot Noir, Merlot, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc. - They cultivate their vines in the best terroir, on living soils, spoiled by the mild South Tyrolean climate. Because a grape variety can only develop its full aroma, strength and personality in its favorite spot. The vineyards are laid out in the traditional pergel education, only in the white wine and some lagrein areas wire frame education (Guyot) is used. - Their own vineyards and those of their contract suppliers are spread over almost all of South Tyrol and go from Entiklar (Merlot, Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay) to Missian (Edelvernatsch) to Unterplatten (St. Magdalener) to Gries (Lagrein).
