The Serra family's economic endeavors began in 1960 in Erli (SV), a little hamlet in the hinterland of Albenga, when the pioneer Serra Tino chose to start a business with the same items in addition to farming apricots, cherries, peaches, and chestnuts in his company. Asparagus, artichokes, tomatoes, salads, and courgettes are just a few of the priceless products from the Albenganese plain that he now trades and distributes in the northern Italian markets after moving to Albenga in 1970.
In addition to carrying on his father's business, Mauro joined the company in 1980. He started exporting vegetables from Albenga (including dill, leeks, parsley, lollo, rocket, and Brussels sprouts) to northern Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, and Denmark). SERRA FRUTTA was founded in 1984 and is still headquartered in the municipality of Cisano Sul Neva (SVindustrial ) district.
