Thai Sugar Group is the first private sugar factory in Thailand. Founded by Suree Asadathon (Ash to Lien). Operations began on May 7, 1945 after World War II, when Thailand was facing a sugar shortage crisis. Government policy was to encourage the private sector to set up sugar mills, but faced difficulties as the machinery and equipment were very expensive. They had to order from overseas, so mechanic Sree Asadason, better known as 'Ash Tu Lien', used his knowledge and experience as a steel lathe operator. Until you can successfully overcome the obstacles, invent your own rare and expensive sugar manufacturing equipment without ordering machines from abroad.
Currently, Thai sugar companies are considered to be the country's most important producers and exporters of sugar. We have the experience and history of running the longest sugar manufacturing business in Thailand. The company has six sugar factories nationwide.
