A document from the 16th century first mentioned the Braunsdorf grain mill. The property was purchased in 1881 by miller and mill builder Franz Reinhold Weber. The founder of the company laid the groundwork for future production expansions as hydropower developed. The production of a rail route siding in 1910 opened up new possibilities for the Webermühle in the stockpile of natural substances and flour deals. The Webermühle's high demand for high-quality flour led to multiple expansions of production capacities up until the Second World War.
