Our team of pasta makers, the core of Pastificio Antiche Tradizioni di Gragnano, belongs to an ancient family of maccaronari, now in its fourth generation. Keeper of the family secrets, handed down thanks to the experience accumulated over the several decades spent, by his grandfather and father, working in the major industrial pasta factories of Gragnano, our Master Pasta Maker started the pasta-making business in 1970. Still today, together with his sons, he keeps the family traditions alive. The pasta factory Antiche Tradizioni di Gragnano, contributes, with passion and skill, to maintaining the reality of the area, which shows more than ‘500 years’ of pasta production.
The town of Gragnano boasts the prestigious European PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) recognition. The PGI is a quality mark awarded to those agricultural products and foodstuffs for which a certain quality, reputation or other characteristic depends on geographical origin, and whose production, processing and/or elaboration takes place in a specified geographical area.
