Food-grade maltodextrin is a purified product in powder form, obtained through the hydrolysis of starch and spray drying. It is white to light yellow in colour, with a moderately sweet taste and a delicate aroma typical of processed starch. The powder structure is uniform, with no visible impurities. Maltodextrin powder is characterised by high water solubility, a neutral sensory profile and stability during storage. Thanks to these properties, it is widely used in food and technological formulations as a carrier, filler or texture regulator.
