Uneven fight for Uruguayan honey producers

The Uruguayan honey export market is a rather concentrated one. There are only 3 exporters and are the ones that purchase most of the producer´s honey. In addition, producers are only getting paid about u$1 or u$1.2 per kilogram, in a 90 day period or by the time the exporting companies collect the payment for their exports.
