The Iranian agricultural production output is the only growing sector among the shrinking economy. Iran has demonstrated a growth of 3% in the fiscal period of 2019-2020 of the country, according to the Statistical Center of Iran. The growth is due to the increased production output supported by growing exports. The main contributing product was in-shell pistachio with $724 million worth of exports during the period (Mar '19-Mar '20) followed by apples with $362 million, tomatoes with $360 million, shelled pistachios with $240 million, and watermelon with $176 million of exports. The main export destinations for the recorded period were Russia, Iraq, and Oman.
