The increasing demand for dragon fruit on the local market has prompted many farmers to grow it. But not many continue to grow them because the dragon fruit quickly develops a fungus and needs a lot of fertilizer. As a result, fewer dragonfruits are grown in Malaysia. At present, only less than 10 large farmers grow dragonfruits in Malaysia.
