Sweet potato production trends

Sweet potato production in the United States is lead by North Carolina and other southern states including Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas. California is the only state on the Western Coast which is engaged in sweet potato production. Southern producers have a competitive advantage on pricing over California as the state has the second-highest minimum wage in the country.
