The West Java province in Indonesia is still the biggest tea producing region in the country with the production contribution reaching 70% of the total national production output. Thriving tea plantations can be found in Garut, Tasikmalaya, and Cianjur with the accumulated area of more than 92 Kha in 2019. This year, the province is targeting a growth output of 4 % from the total production in 2019, as a recent response to the market expansion to Malaysia and Brunei.
