Tanzania starting to import sugar from Uganda to satisfy the local demand

Due to the rise in the price of sugar as is scarce in Tanzania. The Uganda government agreed that the Uganda sugar industry should start exporting its surplus sugar to Tanzania to alleviate the situation. Uganda will export 20,000 metric tons of brown sugar by the end of May 2020.
