Backlog of containers in Bangladesh

A backlog of containers at Chittagong port in Bangladesh is making shipping logistics difficult for both exporters and importers. Canada and Australia are major suppliers of a variety of grains and pulses to the country including wheat, lentils, and chickpeas, and are seeing delays getting products to their buyers in the market. Vessel turn-around time is over 15 days since the government implemented lockdown measures in late March.
