After the Covid19 outbreak, the organic food industry started to grow even more and Turkey has become an important source for organic grains and citrus fruits for European countries.

Turkey was responsible for 25% of the EU countries' organic citrus fruit imports and 17% in organic vegetable imports. Turkey is also a preferred sourcing option for organic oilseed imports of EU countries.

EU countries have also mainly imported organic sugar from Brazil and Colombia, organic pulp from China and organic tropical fruits and hazelnuts from Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, and Peru.
