With Ramadan approaching, demand for coconut water increases significantly

As the month of Ramadhan is approaching, there are a number of fresh coconut suppliers in North Sulawesi and Central Sulawesi who are not taking in new inquiries from overseas buyers and only focusing on supplying the domestic market. It is common for Indonesian coconut manufacturers to experience a sharp increase in the demand for coconut water, especially during Ramadan, as it is one of the highly sought after menu that is traditionally consumed to replenish lost bodily fluid and to restore stamina during the day. The coconut manufacturers predicted that the domestic demand for coconut water would increase by at least 85% in the period of April and May 2020.
