Legislative Assembly will promote public hearing to debate the milk crisis in Paraná

The Legislative Assembly of Paraná will hold a public hearing next Tuesday (21), at 9 a.m., titled "Crisis in the Price of Milk," which will discuss mechanisms to value milk producers and family farming, as well as to face unfair competition in the international market. The debate will bring together parliamentarians, government representatives, class entities, and producers from across the state. The main difficulty faced by the sector is the drop in the value paid to producers. This occurs mainly due to competition with powdered milk imported from Mercosur, which is rehydrated in national territory and reaches the market with prices lower than the in natura milk produced in Paraná. Among the main banners defended by Deputy Luis Corti (PSB) is the prohibition of the rehydration of imported powdered milk for commercialization as fluid milk.
