The fruit orchards in Hungary suffered significant frost damage from the middle of March in more waves and as a result the agricultural associations are expecting the yields to fall back to one third of a good year's yield. The most affected fruits are the peach (usual yield in a good year is 35-40 thousand tons), apricot (usual yield in a good year is 30-35 thousand tons) and cherry (usual yield in a good year is 14-16 thousand tons).
