Stakeholders are calling on the Ghanaian government to open the doors for the cultivation and use of genetically modified crops to address the food and nutrition insecurity challenges in the country which is worsened by the spread of COVID-19. Other West African countries like Nigeria are commercializing GMO (Bt) variety.
