European Commission warns Bulgaria on non-compliant mineral water marketing

The European Commission has warned Bulgaria to ban companies from selling mineral water from one and the same natural source to be marketed under different brand names.
According to EU regulations, drinking water coming one and the same water source cannot be branded under more than one brand name and furthermore, the European Commission has requested Bulgaria to comply with EU regulations in Bulgaria and also to apply strict labeling rules where the source of the water spring to be explicitly mentioned which is missing as a national regulation in the country.
