Several advocacies in the EU have approached the European Union Committee to change regulations and label specialty animal feed ingredients as 'necessary commodities' as well in order to decrease the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the individual farming operations of the EU member states. Most of the operations heavily relay on feed ingredients, additives and vitamins arriving from outside Europe.
